Matis Hospital
An ~80-bed multi-specialty hospital with CT Scan, 2 Operation Theatres, and a Radiology Department , a complex twin-building project linked by a bridge, one wing newly built and one older, that was rescued mid-construction when the original PMC could not resolve the utilities coordination.

The Build
What shaped this project from foundation to handover.
Challenges
- 01
Project inherited mid-build — windows, flooring and paint were already done, but the false ceiling could not be closed by the previous PMC because they could not resolve where utilities should route. A closed ceiling is the gateway activity on any fit-out — without it, every downstream trade was stalled and the programme had slipped badly.

Twin-building coordination — two physically separate buildings connected by a bridge, one new wing and one older wing, with very different existing service layouts. Decisions on where to locate the main MGPS plant, oxygen plant, VRV outdoor units, DV electrical panels and main server room had to be re-engineered from first principles.

Drawing interpretation gap — the previous team could not read the consolidated services drawings across the two structures, so coordination decisions kept getting reversed and ceiling closure was indefinitely deferred.
The Solution
On takeover we made closing the false ceiling the single non-negotiable Week-1 priority. We re-walked every services drawing, re-located the MGPS / oxygen plant / VRV / DV panels / server room to optimal positions across the two buildings, and routed all crossings through the connecting bridge with proper access for maintenance. Once the ceiling was closed, all stalled trades were sequenced back in parallel and the entire balance of works was fast-tracked to completion. The hospital — ~80 beds, CT scan, 2 OTs and full radiology — is now successfully operational.
